Off to the land of lyrical builders

Greece that is. Not for the Greeks a sharp intake of breath and a "that'll cost you". No. My friends have just had a new door and windows fitted. Afterwards, with the shutters on the door open, the joiner said, "Your balcony door is like a bird with the wings open, ready to fly". When we bought our house, let us just say it had potential. The builder charged with the first stage of the repairs said, "your house is like a beautiful woman about to go out for the evening, but first she must pluck the whiskers from her chin". Nice place. Posting may be light.
